What Visitors Say
Hiking Trail Review Stanford Trail to Brandywine Gorge Trail Loop - 3.8 Miles The trailhead is very easy to find with a lot of free parking spots. The trail is very easy to navigate and clearly marked. There is some elevation gain but nothing crazy. It’s a very good hike with gorgeous scenery. The falls and running water is a bit low at the moment but stunning. This trail is a great place to stop if you are in the area. Would highly recommend it.
6 months agoI find it very unnecessary that so many trees were cut down merely to lay down asphalt for more parking. This parking lot is an eyesore on what was once a quiet, historic road. Viewing this lot on Google Maps and zooming out, it sticks out like a sore thumb and looks unsightly. Extra bathrooms are always a plus, but I did not see one bike rack here when I visited last July, which is a massive oversight on the part of those who approved the design for this lot. There's RV-specific parking in the back, but there isn't a single bike rack in this new parking lot, which is situated in a national park that is renowned for its miles of bike trails. Please stop bulldozing over nature to further accommodate cars. Cars and car-based infrastructure must stop encroaching on the natural world. Please aim to do better than this.
a month agoLove this trail! Not very buggy and not muddy at all right now. Only tricky part with my dog was walking on the boardwalk where you can actually see the falls, it's so narrow so it was a little hard to go past people but otherwise it's a nice wide trail!
7 months ago90% easy to follow! You can connect to the bridle trail, towpath trail, or the Stanford trail from this parking lot. The bridle trail gets a little lost, but a super fun (& hilly!) place to explore!
