“I had an unpleasant experience at the hotel. Upon entering the lobby, I was greeted by a strong smell of smoke and individuals loitering beyond the secured doors leading to the elevator. The room was sparsely furnished. The bedsheets and blanket had noticeable brown/tan stains, prompting me to use my own blanket and sleep in my jogging pants and hoodie. Later, while using the bathroom, I encountered two roaches in the bathtub and managed to eliminate one while the other escaped. Due to the unacceptable conditions, I promptly gathered my belongings and checked out after roughly 4.5 to 5 hours. Before departing, I returned my key and attempted to report the issue to the night desk, but was instructed to call the customer service number the following day to speak with a manager regarding a potential refund. After speaking with the manager, I was informed that my money would be refunded. However, I have yet to receive the refund.”

“I was looking at 2 other Extended Stay hotels. By far the front desk service was the best here, thank you Elise. Once I came into the building it's clean, friendly and caring staff is a welcoming family feeling. Location of all 3 were close to highways, but the way they talk to and treat you is better than I ever expected especially after dealing with the manager at a privately owned location. Looking for a clean family friendly place to stay....you found it at the Emerald location. The only issue I have which I will bring up to housekeeping is the inside of microwave and above the stove could be cleaned better. However, most people do not look up there & I may be a little of a clean freak, just when cooking I do not want old grease falling into my food. (This is an issue at most places) Other than that, everything was cleaned no complaints on anything else. I didn't not smell smoke or have loud guest from other rooms bother me as others have said in their reviews. The Grayton Road Tavern next door has excellent food and the owner is very nice plus the Queen of Hearts drawing is a lot of fun to go to every other Wednesday. You will not be disappointed coming here.”

“Long term stay while waiting for my house in another state to sell. If you’re looking for a 5-star experience go to a 5-star hotel. To me what matters is how I’m treated by staff and responsiveness to my needs pertaining to my room and both were great. The staff is friendly, responsive and caring. Things could be cleaner but as a long term stay I make sure my room is clean. This place is exactly what it’s supposed to be. If all you care about is a low rate then you can expect to get low rate amenities. For my needs it’s been a positive experience.”
