Depression cost me two classes here, and apparently that doesn’t count as a health issue. (PLEASE SCROLL TO THE END, owner stated I threatened to leave a review. I’ve attached a screen shot of exactly what was said) I recently had two classes from a 5-class pack expire less than a month ago during a period when I was experiencing a deep depression. When I reached out to request a brief extension, I was told that extensions are only granted for physical illnesses with documentation, which also stated I could provide. As someone who genuinely loved this studio, and even publicly defended it when it was criticized online last year, this response was deeply disappointing. We are in a time where mental health is widely recognized as health. Depression can cost people months, sometimes years, of their lives. Just because it isn’t visible like a broken leg does not mean it is less serious or less deserving of compassion. Wellness spaces, especially, have an opportunity to lead in treating mental and physical health with equal legitimacy. In this case, the policy felt rigid and dismissive rather than aligned with the inclusive, supportive environment that wellness communities often promote. The classes themselves were great, which makes this even more unfortunate. I hope the studio considers revisiting its policies to better reflect a modern understanding of mental health. Lastly, I was disappointed by the tone of the response I received when I mentioned I may share my experience publicly. Rather than feeling heard, I felt dismissed. Reinstating two classes from a 5-class pack that expired less than a month ago would have been a minimal accommodation. I was strongly considering becoming an unlimited monthly member (which requires a three-month commitment), and a friend who attended the Unwind class on 2/24 was planning to purchase a 10-class pack before hearing about my experience. I genuinely believe small businesses thrive when they create spaces that respect mental health as real health, because it is. Compassion and flexibility in wellness spaces matter. (IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNER STATING I THREATENED HER) Amanda, For the record, I did not “threaten” you. I informed you that if we were unable to resolve the matter privately, I would share my experience publicly, which is a standard and lawful consumer action. A screenshot of my original message has been attached for clarity so others may review the exact language themselves. My request was straightforward: consideration for two classes that expired less than one month ago due to a documented mental health condition (I offered to provide documentation). I acknowledged your policy. My position remains that mental health conditions warrant the same consideration as physical illnesses when evaluating exceptions. Characterizing a request for accommodation as an attempt to “strong arm” a small business reframes a good faith conversation into something adversarial. That was not my intent. Consumers are entitled to share factual accounts of their experiences. I have done so respectfully and transparently. I wish you well.
2 weeks agoThe hot yoga class was very enjoyable. The instructor Rachel was awesome and very helpful for me, a yoga newbie. I will definitely return.
a month agoYoga Strong is my happy place! I have been practicing here for a few years and love the hot yoga, barre, and aeriel classes. All the instructions are attentive and committed to helping each student grow. I always leave here rejuvenated not just from the classes but from the amazing community here.

a year agoLoved this yoga studio! Great vibe. Classes are hot (about 89 F / 32 C) so you have to be up for that. I loved strong basics class I took. They have showers and towels available as well which was perfect for me; no need to go back to the hotel but I could continue touristing.
