The Wine Spot: Cleveland Liquor Store Guide

Last week I stopped in looking for a red wine I could enjoy with a friend visiting for Thanksgiving. I had super vague parameters and a budget of $300 or less. Adam was able to hook me up with probably the best wine I have ever tasted (Spottswoode 2017 Cab)!!!!! To say Adam is knowledgable is an understatement. I will absolutely be back. Good vibes too!

They know my palette! Their recommendations are always spot-on. It’s also such a beautiful space and the floors are gorgeous, the way they’ve maintained the architectural charm of this building is something to be proud of.

The Wine Spot is a fantastic choice for carefully curated craft beer and wine. The excellent service is an obvious extension of Heights-owned family expectation for doing things right. The Wine Spot is more than a wine store or bar: It's a Cleveland Heights gathering place.

I had been wanting to try this spot for a while, and it was really nice. The patio out front is great and I got a sweet wine (I love sweet wine). If I went back, I might get a non wine alcoholic beverage since they only have one sweet wine. You know how people can get weird/snobby about sweet wines and their inferiority or whatever… lol. The olive and nut dish was good, but also so small (look at the pic). I would’ve paid a couple extra dollars to just get like two more handfuls of nuts or something on that plate. We ate it in about five minutes. Would like to go back and look at the wine selection and all the other doodads inside.
