What Visitors Say
Never lived here but the area is cool. Good to see them try to create a unique waterfront that’s walkable. It was pretty dead on a Wednesday but I’d assume the weekends were more fun. Love the sound stage, the cool bars with outdoor seating. IMO it’s way overpriced though. And I’d bet 90% of young adults that live here their parents are paying their rent. $1,400 to $4,000 a month is insane. Who can afford that!? I need to find out what you ppl do for work man. Anywho, the flats have lots of potential. It’s almost a Colorado vibe with all the outdoor seating. I think Cleveland is out pricing its own market tho with the gentrification. If you want to connect downtown to the flats and have the same crowd, you’ll need more outdoor special events on the weekly. And overall make it more accessible to all people. It feels like a college campus with dorms and suite style housing.
6 months agoThe worst apartment management team I have ever dealt with in my life. They lie and will charge you for everything they possibly can. They don't care about you and want your money so just watch out and make sure to get everything in writing when communicating with them. I was charged an additional full month of rent when moving out because of lies and poor management. I've sent numerous emails with no responses from Greystar. I was also told that my move out charges such as cleaning and renters insurance would be removed per email with the apartment manager. (I've sent multiple emails regarding renters insurance and they assured me it was taken care of) This never happened and they sent my debt to a debt collector which will now affect my credit score. I've asked to verify utility charges for over $400 and guess what... they didn't respond and sent it to the debt collector. Crazy how poor management can result in tenant distress but corporate financial gain. So yes move here if you enjoy headaches and want to jump in the lake after moving out.
a week agoI had a really disappointing experience with the Flats East Bank management, and it’s made me seriously question how much they value their residents. While I was on vacation, my car was towed even though my parking sticker was clearly visible in the vehicle and the car was parked in my assigned, rented spot. When I contacted management, they refused to show me any evidence that the sticker “wasn’t visible,” and they wouldn’t even take the time to verify it themselves. It’s difficult not to feel that transparency was intentionally avoided. Management later tried to place the blame on me by saying my license plate was not on file. The only reason it wasn’t on file is because, during the initial application process—when I wasn’t even fully committed to moving in yet—I selected “I don’t know” for the plate number. At no point was I informed that I needed to update this information, nor did anyone ever reach out to me to request it, even though the vehicle clearly matched the description and was parked in my assigned space. What made this worse is that I was initially told I would be reimbursed for the tow, only for that to later be reversed. There was no accountability, no follow-through, and no genuine attempt to resolve a situation that could have easily been handled with basic communication. On top of that, several things that were represented to me prior to moving in turned out to be inaccurate. I was told there was pool access, which there is not. I was also told I could use my two months of free rent concession in a certain way, and that also turned out to be false. These may seem like small details individually, but together they reflect poor communication and misleading information. At the end of the day, this comes down to resident trust and retention. It’s hard to feel confident living in a place that won’t provide transparency, won’t stand by what they promise, and won’t advocate for residents when mistakes are made. I expected better from a property of this caliber.
a month agoDo not live here. This office staff and leasing company Greystar do not address concerns about the complex and try to scam you out of money, both as a current resident and when you are moving out/have moved out. If you have security issues while living there (as I did when someone let people up to the floor that I did not authorize and did not know, and those individuals tried to get into my apartment while I was home), they don't address any safety concerns. They lie about receiving proper notice to vacate forms so they can charge "insufficient notice fees" and do not hold up the walk throughs so they can charge you additional fees on move out. Then in the process of trying to dispute charges, they take over 6 months to sort through the issues while providing the worst communication and lack of responses. They don't pick up the phone if you call, so everything has to be done over email and they take months to respond to an email. The worst experience I have had with an apartment complex in Cleveland. For the price of the apartments and the fees they charge you to live there, and to move out, it is not worth it. Would not recommend.
a month agoThe new amazing is amazing!! Amber is the new property manager and has done a great job in bringing the community together and serving the residents with world class service. I couldn't be more happier with the new property managers!! :)) Some of the things I love about the property: The management team is quick to respond to any help The rooftop deck is actually pretty nice. Didn’t realize it until summer hit this year and I was working from home (covid life) I feel safe in this building as you require a fob to get in the building and also for the elevator Bunch of restaurants on the first floor - makes it easy to grab a bite when you don’t want to cook Discounted price at the local gym next door Plus the views are awesome. I’ll post some pics here once I figure out how! Haha
