Round1 Bowling & Arcade – Great Lakes Mall (Mentor, OH) IGC Review – 2.5 ★★★☆☆ The Icosahedron Gaming Club visited Round1 at Great Lakes Mall as part of our 2026 scouting rotation. From a pure arcade perspective, this venue delivers serious firepower. There is a large variety of game offerings, especially when it comes to Japanese imports. Rhythm titles, crane machines, Japanese medal games, and specialty cabinets that are difficult to find elsewhere in Ohio are well represented. If you’re chasing that authentic Japanese arcade itch—particularly imported rhythm and claw machines—this location absolutely scratches it. The floor is clean, the cabinets are visually impressive, and the selection feels curated for enthusiasts. That said, pricing is moderately high on a per-play basis. For casual players it’s manageable, but for groups running multi-hour sessions, credits burn quickly. Budget accordingly. Unfortunately, our experience was significantly impacted at the food counter. Two of our members ordered food. After receiving it, the items were incomplete. When the issue was raised, we were told that “most people don’t care.” There was no attempt to correct the order, offer compensation, or provide any resolution—just a return to work. From an operations standpoint, this is unacceptable. Selling an item while knowingly unable to fulfill it—without disclosure—undermines customer trust. It only takes one disengaged team member to damage an otherwise strong operation. In today’s service environment, accountability matters. Because the IGC prioritizes value and experience for our members’ hard-earned money, we will not be adding this location to our 2026 tour roster at this time. Been visiting for years, plenty of arcade games pool tables however they could use more bowling lanes today we had a 3-hour wait on lanes so we decided to grab a movie bathrooms are clean they have a full service bar and you can buy food there such as bar food and plenty of upgraded food items also Areas are kept clean and there is plenty of parking, one side of Round One leads directly into Great lakes Mall. Absolutely recommend for family fun date night or just enjoy drinks and billards.

They have Castlevania, Marble of Souls here. I'm very happy that this was an addition to Round 1 as my son and I spent eight hours on this. Lots of nostalgia and a whole bunch of fun. There is a ton of content in here as well if you're an actual Castlevania Lore Hunter. If you're there to win prizes as well the ticket payout is really nice. Whenever there were any issues with the machines, staff was really on it too like five minutes tops. So great job guys. Great experience! 6/5*

All of the crane games have been rigged so that they don’t need to have anyone in the area help get prizes. They got rid of the machines that were skilled based. Half of the machines are already under maintenance or broken by someone since there’s no one around to supervise. This place was once fun and is now a complete waste of money.

We had our daughter’s 12th Birthday here & the staff blew me away! Very helpful and super accommodating. They helped us set up the karaoke, brought food to the party room and were al in good spirits while doing it! There was also a lot to do, karaoke, bowling, billiards, arcade games & we stayed there much longer than anticipated! I just needed to share how AMAZING of a time we had and thank you all to the staff especially REM we really appreciate you guys helping us to make our little girl have a great birthday 🫶🏽🥳
