Rocky River Reservation: Cleveland Park Guide

One word: Parkour. Today felt like a mini adventure. Being from the east side, I honestly haven’t explored many of the west side parks — but today we changed that. My sister and I grabbed coffees and headed out with her pup happily in tow. While she let her pup wander on leash, I did a little geocaching, which made it feel like a treasure hunt layered into our walk. Even though it was cold, the fresh air was so rejuvenating. There’s something about exploring new-to-you trails that wakes you up in the best way. Crunching leaves, quiet paths, wide open space — it just felt alive. We only explored a small portion of the park, but it was enough to leave us smiling. I was especially impressed by the unique little playgrounds tucked throughout — such creative spaces for littles to climb, imagine, and yes… practice their own version of parkour. It was simple. It was chilly. It was refreshing. And honestly? Now that’s life.

One of my favorite areas in the park for go to great nature therapy. Peaceful and well maintained. There are many trails in the area. You can take a 2 mile hike or a 12 mile hike all in the same general area.

We love Rocky River Nature Center! It is our go to for a quick easy outing that is guaranteed to wear our the kiddos of all ages. Inside there is a huge nature watchers windows with tons of chairs big and small for all ages to sit and enjoy. The indoor play area is immersive and kept my twin 3yo and 10yo occupied for hours. We had to come back a second time to visit the outdoor play area which was just as big of a hit! After crossing a small bridge it opens up to a nature play area with climbing rock walls, balance beams, and the twins favorite a giant duck. We have been back weekly since moving into the area and look forward to joining some events when they come around!

Beautiful park! This is a lovely place to go for a walk, go for a jog or just take in a moment in nature! I love all the variety here and the trails uniting this park to other beautiful areas in the area. I really enjoyed my time here and would recommend anyone to come spend some time at this lovely park!

Love the new nature skate for kids! My kids thoroughly enjoyed it! And they always love going into the nature Center as well! So much fun for them to play inside the tree! Love the storybook Trail! And the path with the bridges.
