What Visitors Say
Cool roadside attraction in Cleveland, OH. Was in the area for a vacation and specifically took a day to find some of these roadside wonders. This thing is huge, much larger than I expected and a convenient parking lot just behind it to stop and get a photo or two. Very well maintained.
2 years agoNice. A sculpture of a paddle that, once the rubber band and ball detached, became my mom's preferred delivery device for corporal punishment as a kid. And five blocks east of where we lived in the 1960s-1970s.
6 months agoSomeone should be embarrassed to have this be something that is a tourist opportunity. Unbelievable. The roads leading up to this thing can only be compared to what driving 馃殫 on the moon 馃寵 would feel like. The overlap of repaired pot holes 馃暢 isn't for anyone who has hurt ribs . The mere stopping anywhere near this is not comfortable 馃槙. I understand a deteriorating neighborhood when I see 馃憖 one and why the city would have this in this place is exactly what is the problem. Do we want to have a family travel into our city and then experience the disappointment of what could be placed in a more up kept area? The area needs some paint and TLC because it is not getting it from the people who are living in it 馃槖 馃檮. Enjoy the picture 馃摳 and stick to Edgewater Beach 鉀憋笍,but not after a rain storm.
11 months agoImmense paddle ball sculpture complete with a red rubber ball springing from the board! It is on Lake Avenue at the corner of Detroit Avenue. Best viewed from the Burger King parking lot. Enjoy the view ... then stop into Superelectric down the street on Detroit & West 65th and play a game of pinball. Watch for the next time they try to enter the Guiness Book of World Records for the largest group of people playing paddle ball ... they JUST fell short last try.
