Madison square lanes: Cleveland Bowling Alley Guide

It’s a cute spot but the lanes were burnt up and we left right before league, poor souls. I don’t love that it’s cash only and the seating arrangements are awkward. Nice scoring system and very clean inside.

All the balls with big enough finger holes are too heavy for beginners/normal people.

Very disappointing. We have been going here for many years with our family and friends. New policy is terrible and the man at the front desk is very rude. You pay per hour instead of per game. We had 5 people bowling and only made it through 8 frames before the lane shut down and we could not finish the game. (That include 10 minutes of the lane having technical difficulties ) We could not pay more to finish game. We were told we had to get back on the list and wait for a lane to open up. By this policy we would never be able to finish a game. When we told the man at the desk this makes no sense he rudely replied, good for us too bad for you. I have never seen such bad customer service and manners. Unfortunately we all agreed we would never go back. So sad. I would recommend going elsewhere.

You would never guess that there was an entire bowling alley in the lower level of the building. This place is frozen in time from the 1970’s but is super clean and with updated electronics for easy play.

I don't do reviews often however I did have an opportunity to bowl this establishment during a visit to lakewood. These lanes were in good condition. Approaches were nice, and clean. My slide was about two foot at the approach which I happen to like where others prefer to plant. This is a great establishment, and I see the manager's vision, and his passion. If you enjoy the sport half as much as I do, I recommend you give this house a try.
