Hanna Theatre: Cleveland Performing Arts Theater Guide

The Hannah theater is very intimate and really there's no bad seat in the house. The ability to sit at the bar or in the partiers (which are comfy couches) is a nice option, and there's also a general admission area. Just be aware, there are a lot of steps, a lot of steps. The Red coat ushers will continually say, "Watch your step, watch your step" because there are a lot of steps, which are at unusual / different pitches. The restrooms are at the back of a theater, but note that the men's room is accessible via the lobby but the ladies is at the back of the theater. Once seated, I enjoyed the show tremendously.

Second visit to the Hanna Theater and was great yet again.. we literally have only been to Cleveland twice - and both times we enjoyed shows at the Hanna Theater. This time we accidentally bought tickets for the weekend prior but will call staff was able to fix the issue and get us great seats without a change in price. Last time, we saw Murder on the Orient express - amazing! This time, we saw Peter and the Starcatcher - really great. Not to mention the pretzel at concessions is so good lol

We were attending the Motown Christmas show put on by the Karamu House. It was quite a show. It started by taking you on a little journey of Motown's humble beginnings with its founder, Berry Gordon and then the Smokey Robinson era. It intermittently took you throughout Motown's biggest and most memorable groups of the 60s and 70s. Then they worked their way into Motown Christmas songs. It was glorious. If you like traditional Christmas music with a soulful flare, this is for you. The choreography was just as tantalizing as the singing. This was an amazing show. It began at 7:30p and ended around 10p.

The Hanna is beautiful. It's small, comfortable, inviting. There are many different seating configurations and options. The staff is always friendly. The bar is good sized for the venue which makes it easy to get a drink without a wait.

We saw A Motown Christmas here. Sat in a banquet set. It seat 4 people comfortably. We love coming to Playhouse Square and are very fortunate to have this exciting area in Cleveland. From my understanding it is 2nd only to new York.
