Gunning Park Rose Center for Aging Well: Cleveland Services Guide

The Director first name Liz has treated me extremely unfairly. She allowed a member to threaten my life in front of other members. That person's first name is Rose. Liz suspended her for ONE day. If anything happens to me please make sure that Rose is a person of interest. I am African American, Liz is not. Rose is not. I am a homeowner in the community since 2000. I am a Retired Teacher for Cleveland Metropolitan Scools. I have taught for 44 years. I have a clean background report and have never been in any trouble. I called the Police after the incident. They were extremely professional, courteous and polite. They treated me with dignity and respect. I am currently seeking an attorney to help me with this case..

It use to be a 4 until I went in 8/14/2023 when there so called security officer was real nasty and decided to talk to me Andy work out buddy like we was dirty kids or trash no respect at all! if you plan on working in this type of place you must have better customer service and proper manners and a better way to address people instead of yo! And then be totally disrespectful how did he not know if I was a secret shopper who was in to see if they were deserving of government funding and was checking out the facility I'm very disappointed and even though I will continue to work out here I will not take this man's lake of etiquette.

Right now the pool is not in use. They have a beautiful wooden basketball court and an elevated track above. A nice weight room is available for use.

This place is within Gunning Park, which was named for my Grandfather Thomas J. Gunning, he was a long time Councilman in Cleveland and served a term as President of Council. He was also a Lawyer and had a practice on Lorain Avenue for over 3o years. this place is well maintained and the staff is excellent. Special thanks to Marie Russell, who showed us around and had taken it upon herself to learn quite a bit about my GrandFather. thanks Marie and staff.

Very nice place for seniors on the west side silver's sneakers group 60 plus group and a pool at 12:00 and 6:00 to 6: 45 community pool as of now.
