Barton Senior Center: Cleveland Services Guide

The Barton Center offers so much to do. A calendar full of activities and provides local transportation very reasonable price.

My mother lived here several years ago, she recently moved back in. They have plenty of activities to keep everyone engaged. Staff goes out of their way to make sure residents get the care and services they need.

Myron Sorozak. WII, North . I have lived here for almost four years and loving it. All the buildings are connected so one doesn't need to go outside to get from building to building. Many activities are provided and some are by residents themselves. Many convenient amenities. Reasonably priced cable television, library/ media room, store, Hodge Podge store, crafts room, activities areas, book store, pool table, resident gardens during the summer, auditorium for activities including movies, church services, Lakewood Library Homebound services, clinic, salon, visiting doctors and more. We attended the Senior Fair at the Barton Center where vendors came in to tell us about products like the Captel Phone for hard of hearing people, Western Reserve Div. Of Aging, Home Health care Organizations, Assisted Living, Nursing Homes and where they are and what they do, , Life Insurance. There were many organizations that came. They had free ice cream and a food truck also plus a raffle. Some of the stores at the Barton Center were open also.

Great award winning community senior center. Attached to senior independent apartments. One of the first of its kind nationally. Apartment complex is well maintained. Barton Center offers community wide services to all senior residents of Lakewood, Ohio.
