Our first comments walking in was how beautifully decorated it was. We were seated quickly and our server was friendly and efficient. The drinks were excellent, but the food is what I would return for. I want the recipe for the corn bread. It was unique, yet familiar and homey. The smoked Mac and Cheese was a favorite and the Berry Goat Cheese Salad was fresh and flavorful. My kids said the soft pretzel was the best they ever had, not too salty and very soft. My husband liked the pork shank but said the spice over-powered the other flavors.

Very nice trendy restaurant and bar. Can accommodate large groups of 10–20. There's a private room upstairs that can hold up to 100 people. The Oak Barrel also takes reservations for groups of 12 or more. A wide selection of beers and liquor. They also have an extensive wine menu. I had the Lake Erie walleye platter today. The walleye was cooked just right. We came in the afternoon around 12:30 and it can get a bit loud. I found myself talking over/louder all the other chatter around. Our server was excellent. Fast, polite and attentive to our needs.
