What Visitors Say
Took my 3yr.old to A Year with Frog and Toad(?). She was dancing and singing along, even though she didn't know the words. An amazing place bringing Art to children who don't get enough of it
3 months agoThis is my son's 2nd year at summer camp here. Last year it was comedy camp, this year it is Apocalypse camp (the only one that fit our schedule). It's day one and I haven't picked him up yet, so I'll update the review after I do. But ... I still felt compelled to write the review. This year, Matt has gone to several summer camps already (4 other ones) -- and comedy camp from last year at Talespinner is still something he talks about routinely. In fact, it's what prompted him to buy two different joke books (although maybe this is the bad part of the review as "mommmy's ears are tired" has now become a phrase to his endless knock knock jokes lol!). Seriously though, it's great to have an organization that is local where I can show him the arts. We used to live right around the corner from Talespinner on w 76th but moved when Matt was a baby -- we now live in the suburbs 22 miles away -- and it is WELL worth the 25 minute drive to take him here to camp for the experience he gets. Additionally -- I just want to point out how inclusive the camp is for all campers. For example, the intro forms really dive into each camper's personality and preferences. And as mentioned, we've had experience with multiple different camps. All told, we will have been to 7 different organizations for camps this summer -- and Talespinner has had the best intro process by far! Kind of amazing since they also are super affordable -- especially if you catch the early bird specials pre-April. Anyway, will update after I pick him up today, but thought it was important to share what a gem this place is! At least for camps!
8 months agoWe've been to shows and my son is taking classes there this summer. It's an enchantingly fun place that's welcoming and super kid friendly. The acting is always great and my son is raving about their summer camp. Definitely a place to bring the family and enjoy a show or if you have kids, sign them up for summer camp.
6 years agoWe really enjoyed the show, especiallywhen they involved the audience to participate. It is a nice place to take children from 6 months to 12 years old. My 9 month old granddaughter was really watching them for awhile.
3 years agoThe production of Hook and Smee was very well done! The kids really enjoyed it. Very clever and very lively. It captured the kids' attention from beginning to end. I will go again!
