5 months agoThis airport should be closed immediately. Acres of wasted lakefront close to downtown. Look at the beautiful park that Berlin made out of the old Tempelhof Airport. The same thing could be done here - a lakefront space for everyone in a city that has significantly less public lakefront than its Great Lakes peers Chicago and Milwaukee. Instead, politicians choose to keep this airport, which is only used by private jets and the terrible fighter jet show at Labor Day.

3 years agoThis airport is one of the best in the U.S.! Those calling on the airport to close are completely ignorant to the value the airport provides to the community. Life flights, SAR Missions, airshows, flight training are all critical to our aviation infrastructure in the US. To even suggest closing it is asinine and based in ignorance…
